Job summary

gpac is partnering with a well-established commercial general contractor in Madison, WI, seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate will manage schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams, coordinate subcontractors and consultants, review drawings and contracts, and drive safer, on-time, on-budget delivery while fostering lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional project teams and manage contracts.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, and cost control expertise.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and execution.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Proactively identify and resolve project risks, challenges, and scheduling issues.
• Manage project financials, forecasting, cost controls, and change orders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Build lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
