Job summary

Citigroup Inc. seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead multifamily housing projects from buyout through closeout. You will coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field staff to deliver on time and on budget.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field and at least five years in project management within general contracting, with proficiency in MS Office and Procore. Travel across the Midwest is expected.

Construction Project Manager – Primary Responsibilities
  • Report to the COO and deliver projects on time and on budget from buyout to closeout.
  • Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills and build and sustain collaborative relationships with project owners, architects, subcontractors, office and field staff, and project executives.
  • Be detail and deadline oriented, solutions‑based, and committed to personal growth as a leader.
  • Help create and adhere to standard operating procedures and project management software to ensure thorough documentation, consistent communication, effective task management, and timely follow‑through.
  • Possess project cost accounting acumen and build strong working relationships with the project accounting team.
Skills and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in general contracting project management or a related field.
  • Experience in multifamily housing and specifically affordable housing is preferred.
  • High level of personal accountability, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Project) and Procore or similar construction management software.
Working Environment

Work is based in company headquarters in St. Louis, MO. Some travel to visit project sites throughout the Midwest is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary of $95,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year, defined annual bonus plan, health, dental, vision, life, and long‑term disability insurance, and a company match on a 401(k).
