Job summary

We Search People partners with a well-established Charleston area contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager who will own projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and long-term career growth in a busy commercial environment.

You will develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, lead subcontractor buyout and vendor management, coordinate field operations, and oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation to ensure

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in a commercial GC.
• Bachelor's degree in construction or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and delivery.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
• Coordinate field operations with superintendents and project teams.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and forecast financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
