Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist lead engineers with design tasks and apply standard engineering techniques across construction projects. The internship covers multiple markets with a Construction focus, and involves travel up to 5%.

The position offers a full-time schedule with opportunities to work in our Newton, MA; Wallingford, CT; and Morristown, NJ locations. Compensation ranges hourly from $19.50 to $35.00, based on education, qualifications, and location.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field from an accredited program required.
• Or, currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education program in a field related to the work done in the department required.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
