Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the financial execution of large-scale construction projects. You will handle day-to-day project accounting, cash flow, forecasting, cost analysis, compliance, and internal controls while serving as the primary financial contact for project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 8 years of related experience in project or construction finance.
• In-depth knowledge of project accounting, billing, receivables, cashflow management, forecasting, budget audits, and reporting procedures.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract language.
• Knowledge of GAAP and company policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to summarize issues and influence decisions.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Professional written and verbal communication; able to convey complex information to non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide project financial oversight and compliance from preconstruction through closeout for a large and/or complex project.
• Manage billing, receivables, and collections for the project to improve net working capital and align with financial controls.
• Confirm client contractual requirements and billing terms, including approved rates for staff and trade labor.
• Collaborate in development of budgets, forecasts, profit plans, and cash flow models.
• Review budgets for accuracy and reflect risks and impacts of potential enhancements.
• Lead owner audits and support internal reviews; drive cost audit processes.
• Lead month-end close and WIP analysis; ensure revenue and earnings recognition accuracy.
• Assess and summarize project financial performance indicators and communicate risks; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Contribute to ORM, PIMs, and other financial health checks; improve tools and workflows.
