Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project accountant to lead daily accounting operations on construction projects. You will manage invoicing, cost reporting, and ensure GAAP compliance while maintaining open communication with project teams and Finance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience, with strong understanding of AR/AP and contract terms. Based in San Antonio, on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting policies; experience with project accounting and cost reporting.
• Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes and controls.
• Ability to analyze contracts, billing terms, and WIP implications.
• Demonstrated precision, confidentiality, and timely communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations for construction projects.
• Manage invoicing, billing, and cost reporting to project teams and management.
• Ensure compliance with Turner financial policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with Shared Services on AR/AP activities and audits.
• Monitor WIP schedules and percent complete analyses for forecasts.
• Support month-end close and year-end activities.
