Job summary

Align Communications seeks an Assistant Financial Controller to lead financial management for data center and professional services projects. You will collaborate with project teams, manage job costing, WIP, subcontractor billing, and ensure profitability across active projects.

The role requires strong construction accounting expertise, Procore and Sage Intacct experience, and a strategic partner mindset to align operations with finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 5-8+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years of construction project accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, revenue recognition, retainage accounting, construction draw processes, project forecasting.
• Advanced experience with Procore and Sage Intacct/Sage Construction Management.
• Experience supporting monthly close and financial statement preparation.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
