Job summary

Align Communications is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to lead financial management for data center and professional services projects in the New Jersey area. The role focuses on construction project accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, and cash flow analysis, with collaboration across project management and operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Procore and Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• 5–8+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years of construction project accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience with GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and management reporting packs.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and company accounting policies.
• Support audits, tax filings, and lender reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
