Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Project Engineer in Seattle to support the Project Manager and Superintendent across all project phases. You will oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders and budgeting within Viewpoint, while maintaining safety and coordinating plans with subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of project engineering experience, a 4-year construction degree, and a drive for long-term growth in the construction industry.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• 4-year degree in a construction related major.
• Motivated for a long-term career in construction.
• 2+ years of project engineering experience.
• Preferred experience in Healthcare construction and fast-paced construction managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Focus on following processes and procedures, taking ownership and communicating difficult news when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the submittal process.
• Manage the RFI process.
• Manage the change order proposal process.
• Provide support, legwork and data entry as requested by PM and Supt.
• Complete budget revisions in Viewpoint as required.
• Support planning, scheduling and coordinating projects to meet deadlines.
• Assist estimating by soliciting subcontractors and distributing plans.
• Be main point of contact for subcontractors.
• Act as Project Manager when PM is unavailable.
