Job summary

STO Building Group in Quincy, WA is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead project teams through planning, bidding, and execution. You will prepare budgets, manage subcontractors, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of two or more years of commercial construction experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of construction laws, codes, and blueprints.
• Strong ethics and professional conduct.
• Proven problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
• Team player who supports colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to plan actions, allocate resources, and manage time.
• Self-starter with goal-oriented mindset.
• Preferred professional affiliations (e.g., AGC) and PE credentials.
• Spanish language basics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing estimates, budgets, and unit cost reports.
• Organize pre-construction planning meetings.
• Negotiate project subcontracts.
• Support management in project plans and execution.
• Contribute to value engineering.
• Review plans and specs for completeness and consistency.
• Assist owner with permits and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare project schedules and milestones with the Project Superintendent.
• Maintain monthly client pay requests and collections.
• Manage project cost controls and payments with the cost accountant.
• Participate in monthly job cost reviews to improve profitability.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment within budget.
• Develop and monitor quality, safety, risk management plans.
• Negotiate change orders and impacts on schedule/cost/profit.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors.
• Oversee close-out procedures and project documentation.
• Mentor project and field engineers.
• Monitor submittals, RFIs, and document revisions to avoid delays.
• Update software for collaboration, quality, and document management.
• Maintain owner relationships.
• Perform other related duties.
