Job summary

XL Construction Corp. is seeking Project Engineers to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning and executing construction projects.

You will manage submittals, coordinate material deliveries, logs, schedules, budgets, and safety initiatives, while maintaining strong communication with the team and clients. You will participate in procurement, RFI handling, and change order estimation, supporting the project through meetings and field coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• Prior construction experience preferred; healthcare, science & technology, corporate, or education projects favored.
• Fundamental knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Understanding of the building permit approval process.
• Ability to learn and use technology and software tools (MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Egnyte, BlueBeam, Procore).
• OSHA 10 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with planning and daily execution of the project.
• Coordinate submittal approvals and timely material deliveries.
• Maintain logs, schedules, budgets, and safety initiatives.
• Lead document control: distribute plans, drawings, and permits; maintain revision logs.
• Prepare change orders estimates and pricing for PCCs and EWAs; assist with procurement.
• Attend OAC meetings and prepare accurate meeting minutes.
• mentor interns and promote professionalism; uphold XL’s safety policies.
