Job summary

PDHG is seeking a disciplined Project Engineer to support project planning, coordination, and execution for doors, frames, and hardware installations. You will assist with estimating, documentation, and technical support, working closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma and 2-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred bachelor/associate degree from accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Create a Schedule of Values for pay applications and submit to the General Contractor.
• Analyze construction schedule timelines and project completion dates.
• Create submittals for doors, frames, and hardware from plans and specs.
• Research mechanical workings of doors, frames, and hardware and practical applications.
• Communicate with Sales/Estimating and Project Managers about substitutions, value engineering, and submittals.
• Pursue Change Orders during shop drawing process.
• Create project costing reports to verify profitability.
• Create product catalog sheets for shop drawings.
• Perform other duties as needed.
