Job summary

Nassal/nFusion, part of the PCL family, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Orlando team. You’ll manage takeoffs, change orders, and subcontract administration while coordinating with design and project management to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, HSE, quality, materials, and standards.
• Understanding of means and methods and construction sequencing.
• Apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
• Working knowledge of construction law and building codes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of decision-making authority and ability to influence decisions.
• Planning, organizational, and time management skills with multitasking ability.
• Ability to create and manage a comprehensive schedule.
• Ability to formulate and administer subcontracts and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress, reporting, and change management.
• Maintains subcontracted scopes and subcontract administration, including defining work scope and monitoring progress.
• Reviews contract obligations and assists site manager in startup activities.
• Manages change order process, pricing, negotiating, and assessing cost/schedule impact.
• Develops and monitors overall project schedule.
• Consults with designers/engineers on drawings and suggests construction methods or materials.
• Collaborates with project manager to create and issue tender packages and subcontracts and monitors progress.
• Assists design team lead in timely responses to the submittal schedule.
• Reviews subcontractors’ submittals for compliance with scope and design documentation.
• Provides proactive leadership for safety and quality programs.
