Job summary

Pillar Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project manager and foreman across diverse construction projects. You will handle submittals, RFIs, document control for drawings and specs, and coordinate field forces, subcontractors, and material purchases.

You must be a strong communicator with a solid grasp of workflow and technical concepts, able to read plans and manage multiple tasks while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and scheduling software.
• Associates/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; experience may substitute education.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and communicate with Pillar team.

Responsibilities

• Schedule work with customers and coordinate the work force.
• Review daily reports with foreman for accuracy.
• Communicate effectively to document project issues.
• Inspect finished work and prepare punch lists.
• Ensure customer satisfaction during and after the job.
• Promote a safe work environment and reduce safety concerns.
• Provide feedback on field and support staff performance.
• Track material orders and manage vendor/subcontractor information.
• Review invoices for materials, subcontractors, and labor.
