Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer to join our top Wisconsin general contracting teams in Milwaukee and Appleton. The role offers a competitive salary of $70,000–$85,000 per year plus full-time benefits.

You will review plans, support scheduling, and oversee site activities with PMs and Superintendents in a hands-on, safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate holds a Construction Management degree (or related field) and 2–3 years of construction experience, with proficiency in scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of construction-related work or internship preferred.
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills; Microsoft Project experience a plus.
• Ability to read drawings, interpret codes, and understand building design phases.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, and/or BIM a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, proposals, and site logistics plans.
• Assist in developing project schedules, milestones, and critical path timelines.
• Maintain accurate as-built construction documents onsite.
• Support the Superintendent in monitoring subcontractor progress and efficiency.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up reports.
• Lead site walk-throughs with owners, architects, and inspectors.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, samples, time sheets, and punch lists.
• Assist with tracking project costs, cost codes, and potential change orders.
• Support the site-specific safety plan and maintain jobsite cleanliness.
• Coordinate material purchases and ensure permits/inspections are completed.
