Job summary

SunEnergy1 in Bethel, NC seeks an experienced Project Engineer to manage and support construction projects on-site. You will have hands-on experience with document control, RFIs, version control, and project management to ensure deadlines and quality.

You will coordinate with clients, project teams, and 3rd-party reviewers, maintain up-to-date drawings and schedules using Procore or MS Project, and perform regular site inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience.
• Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera and related PM software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project locations and work on-site full-time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project teams and clients to oversee pre-construction and on-site activities.
• Review and manage project documentation, drawings, RFIs, and schedules.
• Prepare, track, and resolve RFIs with vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain strict version control of documents and drawings.
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to resolve on-site issues.
• Generate progress reports and meeting minutes.
• Update schedules using Procore or MS Project and flag delays.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and contracts.
