Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy seeks a Project Engineer to oversee pre-construction through close-out, coordinating with home-office engineering and external firms to ensure reliable, high-quality, cost-effective designs. The PE leads Field Engineers, manages RFI processes, and tracks schedule and budget on industrial projects.

The role requires a degree in engineering or construction management, 3–5 years in renewables, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in renewables; solar experience is a plus.
• PE in an EPC firm is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to present to groups of 10+ people.
• Involved with two or more trade disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical, commissioning).
• Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat/BlueBeam, P6 or scheduling apps, Visio, and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with home-office engineering and manage engineering firms for reliable, cost-effective designs.
• Lead, coach and mentor Field Engineers and track project progress.
• Support safety, quality assurance, and project controls inclusive of scheduling and budgeting.
• Maintain documents, permits, RFIs, and coordination with subcontractors and client.
• Update RCAs, weekly/monthly reports, and project dashboards for PV and HV sites.
