Job Summary
The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including but not limited to job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
Minimum Qualifications
- A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, an Electrical Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience of 3 years or more.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in a field environment.
- Construction management degree.
- Experience in the construction industry.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction schedules.
- Extensive document control experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Working knowledge of job cost tracking.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Access a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as needed.
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Tracking construction contract design changes and updates.
- Tracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs.
- Coordinating design changes within construction team.
- Assist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log.
- Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule.
- Assist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs.
- Ability to prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client.
