Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to lead technical tasks on a construction project and coordinate with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and on-site staff to plan, schedule, and control cost and quality through the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong scheduling, reading drawings and specifications, and solid documentation management, with proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace. OSHA 10 and Procore/Primavera familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering/architecture/construction management degree or equivalent
• 2+ years in an engineer/project engineer role in construction
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interest and passion for building and the industry

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans/specs
• Support development and updating of project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules
• Lead in developing project plans
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries to meet project schedule
• Review change proposals and negotiate with trade partners
• Coordinate drawings with PM and Superintendent
• Draft change orders
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers
• Perform scope take-off and cost estimates
• Lead project close-out including manuals and close-out documents
• Develop and lead training sessions for team and partners
• Own document management applications
