Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support delivery of the LA World Airports project.

You will represent the Owner in administration, manage RFIs, submittals, and contractual documentation, and coordinate with design, construction management, and Owner stakeholders to keep the project on track. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of progressive construction experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment within HDR's employee-owned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Must read and interpret drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sponsorship for US employment is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Owner in construction administration per contract requirements.
• Review, log, and track RFIs, submittals, potential change items, and other contractor correspondence for compliance.
• Identify appropriate distribution lists and route documents to stakeholders for review and response.
• Track responses and ensure timely closure of all construction correspondence through Owner-approved document control systems.
• Assist the Construction Project Manager with drafting correspondence, responses, task orders, change orders, and other contract-related documentation.
