Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction Engineer to support the Los Angeles World Airports Landside Improvements project. The role involves supervising inspection activities, coordinating with LAWA, Caltrans, and City of LA stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with plans and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, 5+ years on public infrastructure projects, and familiarity with Greenbook, Brown Book, and PM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Experience with public infrastructure projects preferred.
• EIT or PE license in progress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate LAWA Construction Inspection Division and City of LA inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and standards.
• Prepare checklists for inspections, sampling, and testing per contract documents.
• Maintain project records including plans, specs, daily reports, photos, and as-builts.
