Job summary

HDR, Inc. is leading PM/CM services for the LAWA ATMP Landside Improvements Project in Los Angeles. This team collaborates with LAWA PMCM, QID, design-build partners, and local agencies to deliver critical airport infrastructure before the 2028 Olympics.

The role emphasizes field inspections, documentation, and coordination across multiple stakeholders. A California-licensed engineer or equivalent construction background is preferred, with strong communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support LAWA Construction Inspection Division and City of LA with nightly field inspections to verify construction activities follow approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain checklists for inspections, field material sampling and testing in accordance with project plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Prepare and maintain project records, including conformed set of plans and specifications, daily reports, quantity calculations, photos, develop punch-lists and as-built documentation.
• Assist with the review and processing of submittals, RFIs, Field Directives, request for task orders, change notices and change orders.
• Monitor contractor progress and participate in schedule reviews and look-ahead coordination.
• Support enforcement of jobsite safety, traffic control, environmental / MMRP compliance, and SWPPP requirements.
