Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and oversee major construction activities in the Chicago area.

You will organize material acquisition, equipment, and cost planning for multiple tasks while coordinating with field personnel and leadership on progress and compliance with drawings and specs. You will prepare RFI responses, change orders, budgets, and schedules, and ensure quality control through reports and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management.
• 2-5 years of related experience, including commercial construction management.
• Experience with public entities; Procore preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred; bilingual Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project drawings; provide material take-offs and cost estimates.
• Manage project scope, schedule and budget.
• Prepare change order documentation.
• Create project management plans and quality plans.
• Prepare Critical Path Method schedules.
• Coordinate with field personnel and leadership.
• Maintain project files and inspection checklists.
• Document outcomes of inspections.
