Job summary

Johnson Construction Services is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, documenting, and executing construction projects. This role links field operations, design consultants, contractors, and owners to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and motivated to grow into a Project Manager role within a dynamic office and active site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CM, CE, architecture, or related field.
• 1–5 years in construction project support, coordination, or engineering.
• Exposure to commercial, institutional, K-12, healthcare, municipal, or multi-family projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of construction projects.
• Assist in managing schedules, budgets, and change management processes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
• Track submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change requests.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and project status reports.
