Job summary

Big-D Construction in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team of construction professionals. The role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent, reviews submittals, RFIs, and change orders, and ensures drawings and procurement logs stay aligned with the project schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and have 2–4 years of industrial construction experience, with a drive to deliver quality projects on time and safely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related degree.
• 2 to 4 years of related experience on industrial construction projects.
• Drive to build great projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review submittals.
• Write and track RFIs and process/change orders.
• Prepare and maintain meeting agendas/minutes.
• Maintain drawings and provide marketing assistance as required.
• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with subcontract and schedule administration.
• Ensure up-to-date construction drawings and as-builts.
• Manage procurement tracking logs aligned with the project schedule.
• Document project changes and progress with photos and reports.
• Support safety program and OSHA compliance.
• Help monitor project costs and subcontractor impacts.
• Support subcontract and purchase order management.
