Job summary

Rudolph & Sletten, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Menlo Park, CA office. The role focuses on documenting meetings, coordinating on-site deliveries, and reviewing designs and submittals to ensure contract compliance.

You will work with subcontractors and owners to track RFIs, change orders, and project records. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Attend weekly meetings and transcribe detailed meeting minutes clearly, precisely, and accurately
• Inspect construction site daily and coordinate with subcontractors for deliveries
• Review designs and drawings for crafts installing materials and qualifications
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems and initiate RFIs as needed
• Initiates and processes RFIs and follows up on responses
• Understand and manage change order processes including validation and submission
• Maintain distribution routing of all Submittals, RFIs, Close Out, Punch List and related docs
• Review Expediting Log and coordinate submittals between subcontractors
• Prepare field design changes and as-built drawings
• Document status reports, punch lists, and material calculations for supervisor
• Provide clear communication and thorough, independent work

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and accurately transcribe minutes for record-keeping.

• Review designs and drawings for proper craft installation and compliance.
• Assess submittals and shop drawings for contract conformity.
• Identify drawing issues and issue RFIs as needed.
• Process RFIs and monitor responses to ensure timely closure.
• Understand and apply change order processes and validations.
• Manage document routing for submittals, RFIs, Close Out and Punch List.
• Coordinate all submittals among subcontractors.
• Assist in field design changes and prepare as-built drawings.
