Job summary

Lloyd Companies seeks a Project Engineer to support Senior Project Managers on multi-family and commercial projects. The role collaborates with construction teams and clients, assisting with quotes, vendor proposals, and complex cost estimates while maintaining records and ensuring accuracy in bid documents.

The position requires discretion, ability to read blueprints, and growing experience in construction estimation.

Qualifications

Construction experience with multi-family and/or commercial projects.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of building codes applicable to scope of work.
Experience or capability to estimate projects and develop scopes of work.
Strong analytical skills with cost analysis and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Receive and evaluate quotes and bids for applicable scopes.
Assist with vendor proposals to identify omissions and scope duplications.
Maintain client and vendor records and ensure documentation is organized.
Prepare subcontract and purchase order documentation for ongoing projects.
Develop cost comparisons and take-offs to articulate preliminary and final construction estimates.
Coordinate shop drawing process and support project managers in meeting deadlines.
Create meeting agendas and notes and support project team communication.
