Job summary

Santamariacemetery seeks a Project Engineer to support the Senior Vice President and Project Manager in coordinating design, documentation, and schedules for construction projects in California.

You will review drawings, manage RFIs and submittals, and coordinate with architects and field staff. Proficiency with Bluebeam, ProCore, MS Project, MS Excel, Planswift, and related tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in an engineering-related discipline; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in construction project coordination/management including planning and scheduling.
• Experience preparing submittals, RFIs and related documentation.
• Understanding of project budgets and buyouts.
• CAPM or EIT certifications preferred.
• CAD knowledge (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Experience with Bluebeam, MS Project, MS Excel; ability to read drawings and specs.
• Willingness to learn, be coached and mentored.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and computer skills; multitasking ability.
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, generate RFIs, and process submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, owners, and field personnel.
• Assist bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.
• Track budgets and subcontractor invoices; maintain timelines.
• Input data into Bluebeam, ProCore, MS Project, MS Excel, Planswift.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans, codes and specs.
• Provide technical information to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Connect contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and PMs to clear roadblocks.
• Assist with budget understanding and buyouts.
• Plan construction projects from conception to completion; generate punch lists.
