Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for large-scale commercial construction projects in Laurinburg, NC. You will support project teams, prepare documents, manage procurement, track progress, and help maintain safety standards on site.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and at least three years of construction experience. Travel to the site is required, with extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of construction-related industry experience.
• Travel to project sites may be required and should be anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Produce and organize project documents in line with risk management standards and accessible to team members.
• Assist with close-out, turnover, and archiving to ensure timely delivery.
• Secure contractually required documents including safety programs, MSDS, and insurance policies.
• Assist with project billing according to contractual requirements and ensure timely waivers.
• Summarize discussions and decisions from team, owner, and subcontractor meetings.
• Identify incomplete work and help establish punch lists with the client and architect.
• Support site inspections, maintain inspection logs, and schedule inspections.
• Oversee procurement, material tracking, and on-site storage; monitor quality and compliance.
• Update contract drawings with approved changes and ensure document updates.

Education
