Job summary

The Korte Company in St. Louis, MO seeks a Construction Project Engineer to support the Project Management Group by assisting Project Managers with schedules, submittals, RFIs, and coordination across Owners, Designers, and field teams.

This role emphasizes organization, communication, and proactive problem solving; candidates should have a degree in a related field and at least two years of experience in construction, with a path toward growing into senior project roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on construction project experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of the master project schedule including design, submittals, fabrication and construction activities.
• Facilitate information flow among Owners, Designers, Preconstruction, QA, Subcontractors and Field divisions.
• Assist Project Manager with and document coordination meetings.
• Read contracts, estimates, and plans to determine procedures.
• Set schedules with Project Manager and expedite submittal reviews.
• Create, manage, and log RFIs and submittals.
• Track changes through RFC system and document close-out procedures.
• Prepare warranty letters, maintenance and operation manuals.
• Travel to jobsites approximately once per month.
