Job summary

The Korte Company in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our Project Management Group. You will collaborate with Project Managers to facilitate all project aspects from scheduling to submittals.

Responsibilities include creating master project schedules, coordinating with Owners, Designers, and field teams, processing RFIs and submittals, tracking changes, and supporting close-out; periodic site visits will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional in actions and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of the master project schedule, incorporating design, submittals, fabrication and construction activities.
• Facilitate flow of information among Owners, Designers, Preconstruction, QA, Subcontractors/Suppliers and Field divisions.
• Assist Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings.
• Read and interpret contracts, terms, provisions, estimates, agreements, set up sheets, reports, specifications and plans.
• Work with Project Manager to set schedules and expedite submittal review/approval process.
• Create, manage, process and log RFIs and submittals.
• Track potential changes through the RFC system.
• Identify and document close-out procedures including a checklist.
• Prepare and provide owner with warranty letters, maintenance and operation manuals.
• Travel to jobsites approximately once per month.
