Ajax Building Company is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role bridges field operations and project management, ensuring accurate documentation, coordination, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 0–3 years of construction experience; internship ok.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and review drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Resolve discrepancies in construction documents.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, POs, and closeout materials.
• Maintain document control logs and project records.
• Assist with as-built drawings and field design changes.
• Coordinate with PMs, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Track and report project costs, schedules, and milestones.
• Support field operations with site visits and inspections.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support project success.
