Job summary

Onni Contracting (Chicago) Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to manage construction documents and coordinate between project management, superintendents, and field staff. You will handle drawings, RFIs, submittals, reports, procurement, change orders, and related processes throughout the project.

The role supports preconstruction and construction phases, assisting with estimates, budgets, tracking logs, meetings, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Project Management or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction and building codes.
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Windows and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preconstruction, estimating, coordination, execution, and closeout of construction projects.
• Coordinate with Superintendent/ Project Manager and closely work with Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, design consultants, third parties, city officials, utility companies, and other internal Onni departments.
• Manage document control including drawings, specifications, and other supplemental information.
• Coordinate and attend meetings, and distribute meeting minutes; track RFIs and submittals.
• Assist with change order management and tracking; develop and maintain tracking logs.
