Project Engineer: Construction Coordination & RFI Logs

Job summary

Hoar is seeking a Project Engineer to help facilitate project delivery and administer planning, management and communication for construction projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and clients to support project success.

The role involves coordinating bid documents, logs, RFIs, submittals and day-to-day tasks to keep projects on track and within scope. On-site work and field coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in large, complex facility construction.
• Basic MEP knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Valid Driver's License.
• LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop industry relationships and expand networks for potential sales opportunities.
• Create and maintain internal and external project logs.
• Maintain internal and external reports.
• Assist PMs with updating tasks in software; handle RFIs, submittals, Drawing Logs and other tools.
• Ensure bid documents are sent to bidders and maintain bidders list.
• Maintain current construction documents.
• Process RFIs from contractors; review submittals and maintain submittal log.
• Support day-to-day project management: pay requests, change orders, RFIs, submittals, contracts, purchase orders and closeout.
