Job summary

R&H Construction in Portland, OR seeks a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent on commercial construction projects by handling document control, subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, and ensuring conformance with plans and specs.

You will maintain logs, attend safety meetings, assist with closeout, and help with submittals, RFIs, and coordination, requiring strong communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of construction project engineering experience.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Bluebeam experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour, Revit/CAD experience are favorable.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager and Superintendent on commercial projects with document control and coordination.
• Track RFIs, submittals, logs, and cost data to maintain project organization.
• Assist with safety compliance, quality control, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, attendees at meetings, and site operations.
• Travel to/from job sites as needed.
