Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking Project Engineer Co-ops to join the Messer team in Louisville, KY.

This position supports on-site project management and engineering staff, with the primary responsibility of assisting the site Project Manager and Project Engineer in project administration. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required, with strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree is required.
• Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a focus on construction processes/industry/delivery methods preferred.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

• Site and building layout
• Document control
• Quality control
• Field production analysis
• Project controls input (scheduling, cost reporting, PM solutions)
• Subcontractor and work force coordination
• Shop drawing/submittal control
• Material and equipment expediting
• Subcontractor/supplier solicitation
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Experience with using an iPad
