Messer Construction Co. is seeking a Project Engineer Co-op to join our team in Charlotte, NC. You will assist the site Project Manager and Project Engineer in daily project administration and on-site coordination for complex commercial projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, with strong communication, organization, and proficiency in Office tools and iPad for field tasks. This is an on-site co-op position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; focus on construction processes preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with all levels of staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the site Project Manager and Project Engineer with project administration.
• Support site layout, document control, and quality control activities.
• Contribute to field production analysis and project controls inputs (scheduling, cost reporting).
• Coordinate with subcontractors and work crews; manage shop drawing and submittal control.
• Expedite materials/equipment and assist with subcontractor/supplier solicitation.
• Use Microsoft Office tools and iPad for field and office tasks.
