Job summary

J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Co-op in Tempe, AZ for the Spring/Summer 2027 or Summer/Fall 2027 terms.

This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure across preconstruction, PM, field operations, and MEP activities while you build foundational technical and leadership skills. You will work with a travel team and gain experience from RFIs through project closeout, supported by mentors who invest in your learning and development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Comfortable using technology and software tools.
• Interest in pursuing a career in construction.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with RFIs, submittals, document control, and communication.
• Participate in team meetings, minutes, short-term planning, and coordination.
• Assist in preconstruction and estimating activities.
• Support field operations with material coordination, progress photos, safety walks.
• Learn project systems and tools like Bluebeam and Procore.
• Build professional skills through collaboration with project teams and trade partners.
