Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager with construction project setup, management, and closeout.

This role emphasizes planning, scheduling, and executing activities across phases to completion, with a focus on safety and cost control. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, assisting with procurement, preparing RFIs and shop drawings, visiting job sites, and producing weekly cost and production reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field as listed.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office Suite required.
• Ability to diagnose key information and navigate risks.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project setup, management, and closeout to meet objectives.
• Follow safety plans and comply with corporate safety program.
• Review contracts, scope, and provisions with the team.
• Support buyout and procurement of materials and subcontracts.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Visit job sites, participate in meetings, and track costs.
• Prepare weekly reports and review job cost with Foreman.
• Prepare billings and approve invoices for payment.
• Monitor progress and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Support project schedules, warranties, O&M’s, and closeout.
