Job summary

Jobot, a long-standing general contractor and construction management firm serving the Puget Sound region, is seeking a Construction Project Engineer in Seattle to support project managers and field teams throughout all phases of construction.

You will handle document control, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, budgeting support, and project administration, with opportunities to grow into a Project Manager role on high-profile commercial projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Internship experience with a general contractor will be considered.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms.
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Assist with project scheduling and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Support procurement and material tracking efforts.
  • Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings.
  • Review drawings and specifications for project compliance.
  • Assist with change orders and project reporting.
  • Help ensure successful project delivery through closeout.

Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Details

The Construction Project Engineer will support project managers and field teams throughout all phases of construction. This individual will play a key role in document control, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, budgeting support, and project administration.

Key Responsibilities
