Job summary

Abbott Construction is seeking an accounting professional to manage budgeting, cost control, and monthly financial reporting for construction projects in the Seattle area. You will review project budgets, costs, profits, and related compliance, while maintaining state tax obligations and working with subcontractors and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative work style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 1-3 years accounting or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Works individually and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Cost accounting experience in construction is a plus.
• Experience with audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly review of project budgets, costs, and profit.
• Research and audit projects or items as needed.
• Input and track budget and project cost data.
• Produce owner billings for projects.
• Review subcontractor and/or supplier financial statements.
• Track and report fixed assets acquisitions/disposals.
• Research and file state tax requirements for projects.
• Improve processing and reporting for timely information.
