Job summary

Abbott Construction is seeking an accounting professional to manage budgets and costs for construction projects. The role covers monthly financial reporting, subcontractor and supplier reviews, and ensuring state tax compliance across projects.

You will input budget data, review variances, and prepare owner billings while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. A degree in accounting and 1–3 years of experience are required, with bonus eligibility noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 1–3 years accounting or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrates PC computer skills with Excel and Word.
• Works individually and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates attention to detail.
• Cost accounting in construction a plus.
• Audit firm experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in monthly review of project budgets, costs, and profit.
• Researches and audits projects or items as needed.
• Inputs and tracks data related to budgets and project costs.
• Produces owner billings for specific projects.
• Reviews subcontractor and/or supplier financial statements.
• Tracks fixed assets acquisitions and disposals.
• Researches state tax requirements for projects.
• Improves processing activities and reports for timely, accurate information.
