Job summary

Hoar is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the construction and maintenance of structures and systems. You will help develop concepts, organize, schedule, and implement projects, including travel up to 10% to job sites.

Responsibilities include updating schedules, monitoring material deliveries, assisting with bidding, subcontractor qualifications, change orders, pay applications, RFIs, submittals, and documentation. Fieldwork and on-site coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in the construction industry required.
• Experience with construction project management software such as Procore, Viewpoint, Revit and VICO.
• MS Excel and MS Word required.
• LEED AP and/or Design-Build Institute of America a plus.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Update schedule with supplied information.
• Follow up and maintain timely material deliveries.
• Assist in estimating and soliciting subcontractors in the bidding and pricing process.
• Checkout qualifications of subcontractors and review for final approval with Project Manager.
• Assist in maintaining the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and cost.
• Maintain SBI report.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing for accuracy and issuing change orders to subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist in preparing monthly pay applications and obtaining lien releases from subcontractors and vendors as needed.
• Prepare meeting minutes for all on-site meetings with subcontractors and Owner.
• Prepare and monitor all RFIs and maintain RFI Log.
• Receive, review, check and monitor the entire submittal process.
• Maintain current construction documents.
