Job summary

Hoar is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to assist with delivering preconstruction services for projects, guiding design through preconstruction and maintaining program, scope and quality to ensure schedules and costs are controlled. Travel up to 10% may be required.

You will support the Pre-construction Manager, perform quantity take-offs, assist with bid processes, analyze subcontractor pricing, prepare meetings and admin tasks, and help develop VE options to meet budgets.

Qualifications

• Requires 1–4 years of experience in a pre-construction/estimating environment for large commercial or industrial projects.
• Proficient in cost estimating concepts, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Sketchup/Revit/VICO/NavisWorks/Take-Off tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed quantity take-offs for conceptual estimates.
• Assist in managing bid process and document/information flow.
• Assemble estimates including general conditions, special conditions, insurance and bonds.
• Analyze subcontractor pricing for completeness and alignment with proposals.
• Review documents for completeness and provide constructability feedback to design team.
• Support Pre-construction Manager with client and design-team coordination across all design stages.
