Job summary

Hoar is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Tampa, FL to support construction projects from initial planning through closeout. The role involves coordinating schedules, tracking material deliveries, and assisting with bidding and subcontractor management to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Ideal candidates have a building-science or construction-management background, 1–3 years of industry experience, and proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, Revit, and VICO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years construction industry experience required.
• Experience with Procore, Viewpoint, Revit and VICO is preferred.
• LEED AP and/or DBIA a plus.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Update schedule with supplied information.
• Follow up and maintain timely material deliveries.
• Assist in estimating and soliciting subcontractors in the bidding and pricing process.
• Checkout qualifications of subcontractors. Review same for final approval with Project Manager.
• Assist in maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and cost.
• Maintain SBI report.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing for accuracy and issuing change orders to subcontractors, and material vendors.
• Assist in preparing monthly pay applications and obtaining lien releases from subcontractors and vendors as needed.
• Prepare meeting minutes for all on site meetings with subcontractors and Owner.
• Prepare and monitor all requests for information (RFI's) and maintain RFI Log.
• Receive, review, check and monitor the entire submittal process.
• Maintain current construction documents.
