Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project management services. You will work closely with stakeholders to provide project support and help ensure quality, timely delivery and effective governance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field and at least 3 years of experience, with strong Microsoft Office and Google tools proficiency. This is an on-site position in Washington with a salary range of $80K–$90K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related construction field.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Proactive, organized and thorough with a strong work ethic.
• Collaborative team member in delivering the project.
• Exposure to project management software systems.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google tools.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered to required quality standards, on time and within scope.
• Manage submittal and RFI processes for the construction phase.
• Assist with preparing proposals for new projects or variations.
• Help establish project governance, processes and systems for use across the project.
• Ensure critical information is shared and retained appropriately.
• Build and maintain relationships with client and team members.
• Interface with executives, project team, consultants and vendors.
• Assist with flow of project information between team members and stakeholders.
• Attend relevant meetings and maintain issue/action logs, transcribe minutes, and drive items to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans and follow up on status and close out items.
• Contribute to monthly program reporting for the client.
• Prepare reports for various audiences including dashboards and other requirements.
• Support procurement and cost tracking activities, and assist with cost reporting.
