Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Assistant to join a client in the commercial construction industry in the Richmond market. You will support Project Managers with project coordination, documentation management, and communication between field and office teams.

You will gain exposure to estimating, procurement, scheduling, and customer coordination while learning construction management principles and growing toward Assistant Project Manager roles within a supportive, mentorship-driven team.

Qualifications

• Construction management degree or equivalent construction industry experience.
• 0-3 years of construction experience, project coordination experience, or internship experience within commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Team-first attitude with a desire to grow within an organization long-term.
• Interest in developing a career in project management.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and specifications.
• Maintain project records and track RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate project documentation and communications between field and office teams.
• Support Project Managers with project coordination and administration.
• Assist with overall project lifecycle management and documentation control.
