Job summary

IMC Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help keep projects organized from post-bid through closeout. You will support project execution, budget tracking, and coordination with trades and client teams.

Responsibilities include preconstruction buyout, change management, and maintaining schedules with field leadership. Strong organizational skills and a background in commercial construction are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience supporting RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Proficient with construction management software and MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing projects from post-bid through closeout, aligning scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
• Support bid packaging, scope review, and subcontractor buyout with Estimating and PM.
• Help develop and track project budgets and monitor cost performance.
• Assist in maintaining the project schedule with the Superintendent and PM.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and team members.
• Support safety efforts and uphold Safety First culture on the jobsite.
• Contribute to team success through initiative and organization.
