Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers, manage on-site workflows, and coordinate with procurement and subcontractors. The role focuses on keeping daily production logs, tracking equipment and labor, and ensuring contracts and documents are up to date.

The ideal candidate has a construction background with strong organization, communication, and time-management skills, plus experience supporting civil projects and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 2 years minimum civil construction experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in adhering to all Project Management SOPs.
• Maintain daily production log database.
• Coordinate contracts and materials with procurement and vendors/subcontractors.
• Support project closeout (punch list items, client final acceptance).
• Maintain accurate site equipment and labor records; prepare purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Assist with timekeeping and daily logs; code project invoices for approval.
• Maintain organized project documentation (contracts, RFIs, shop drawings, Submittal Log, close-out docs).
• Assist with other tasks designated by the project manager and with schedule tracking.
