Job summary

Concrete Careers is partnering with an established specialty construction contractor in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to identify a highly organized Construction Project Coordinator / Operations Coordinator. This is not your typical administrative position, and the right candidate will own responsibilities across multiple project phases.

The role supports leadership, from preconstruction through closeout, and offers exposure to various areas of the construction business while keeping projects moving

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction or contracting.
• Ability to read and organize drawings and specifications.
• Exposure to submittals, turnover, change documentation, or closeout processes.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Support project setup, preconstruction activities, and documentation.
• Organize and manage construction drawings, specifications, and project files.
• Coordinate submittals, safety documents, site access, and badging.
• Track deliverables, deadlines, and outstanding documentation.
• Assist with changes, updated drawings, and coordination.
• Support project closeout, warranties, as-builts, and final docs.
• Work with leadership to identify needs, solve problems, and move projects forward.
• Independently manage assigned responsibilities from start to finish.
